There’s a lot to love with Blackrock Homes’ Urban Series Interior Finishes [a video]

The design team at Blackrock Homes recently unveiled their new interior finish packages for their Urban Series. While styles and trends are ever-changing, these palettes feel classic and complementary to any décor. In that vein, Blackrock created three new color schemes along an organic theme.

Pebble Interior Finish Package

Pebble (gray): Gray palettes provide a fresh backdrop that feel timeless. In this package, the custom kitchen cabinets are in Sherwyn Williams’ French Gray that contrasts beautifully with the Albus White Quartz countertops. For the backsplash, the design team chose Cloe 2.5 x 8 Subway tiles, with a glazed ceramic finish that provides variations in color and a smooth gloss finish. Subway tiles, regardless of the inset pattern, size or color/texture, are considered a classic go-to for backsplashes.

Clay Interior Finish Package

Clay (white): Most designers agree that a white kitchen will always be in style. It’s naturally bright and exudes optimism. Here you will see that the Sherwyn Williams’ Pure White blends beautifully with the Albus White Quartz countertops to create a bright and cheerful setting. The backsplash takes a “designerly” nod with Marazzi Marble Obsession tiles.

Sand Interior Finish Package

Sand (gray-brown): The Greywood Stain of these custom cabinets provides a universally neutral backdrop for cool and warm palettes. This interior finish package is perfect for a transitional décor setting – such as a mix of traditional and modern furnishings and accents. Albus White Quartz counters keeps things light and bright and the Carrara white hexagon tiled backsplash is a playful touch.

The Urban Series homes are designed for smaller footprint, and highlight Low Maintenance features. First introduced to the market about seven years ago, Blackrock’s design team took the most commonly requested interior finishes, and made them the “standard” and then bundled in Low Maintenance features within.

In late 2021, Blackrock updated their flooring specifications to extend the Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring throughout the main level. This update was one of those “you asked and we heard you” changes. Durable, hard surface flooring with minimal traffic patterns is appealing for today’s buyers, and Blackrock’s specs deliver long lasting flooring with natural wood tones.

Another flooring enhancement was upgrading the carpet to “Without Limits II, by Shaw Floors. This carpet has a 4.4 star rating and is often described as “cozy.” Our installers include an 8 lb. pad for a bit of cushion.

To stay fresh and current, the design team at Blackrock reserves the right to continually tweak their floor plans and specifications from time to time. For more details, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of our community specialists – they are happy to assist you!

We appreciate you taking the time to read this post – thank you!
